WEST Coast Teams "WANTED"

Sixxes Football is back and we are looking for teams to play in the West Coast.  The season will start play September 2020.  The IWFL (Independent Women's Football League) is where I learned about Sixxes football.  My team, the Nor Red Hawks, played an exhibition season in 2010 and I was hooked ever since.

Sixxes football is designed for small roster teams.  The roster size, in this association, is capped at 15 to give an even level playing field.  As I stated in the past, this is not a league.  We are an association of teams who will make decisions together.

If you are interested in starting a team or would like more information email sixxesfootball@gmail.com.

Restarting of Sixxes Football

This is not a league, but connected with teams independently run. We would like to restart this association in the Fall of 2020.  This association was set to originally start in the fall of 2016, but it never got off the ground.  I would like to try this again.  We are looking for four to six teams for the West Coast, ideally keeping teams to play no more than 4 hours apart.

You ask why sixxes football?  Sixxes football is full contact football, but you can play the game anywhere.  No stadiums are required so your savings start there.  There are no fees to be part of this association.  We are an association of teams coming together to play Sixxes Football.

If you would like more information, please contact sixxesfootball@gmail.com.

IWFFA Flag Football Clinic Set

The IWFFA Flag Football Clinic is set for Sunday, June 12, Gibson Ranch, N. Highlands, CA at noon.  Diane Beruldsen, President of the International Women's Flag Football Association is touring through Canada, Oregon and California, to name a few, to bring more awareness and interest to flag football and the IWFFA.  It's a clinic for officiating, coaching and play.  The clinic is free, but the cost to get into Gibson Ranch is $5 unless you have a state park pass and then it's free.  There will be a BBQ afterward.  Anyone interested, please email sixxesfootball@gmail.com or call/text 916-295-8247.

If you would like more information on the IWFFA, visit IWFFA.com.

IWFFA Promotional Tour Football Clinic

The IWFFA (International Women's Flag Football Association) will be holding a Players, Officiating and Coaching Clinic mid-June as part of their promotional tour.  Diane Beruldsen, President of the IWFFA will start touring through Canada and work her way down through the West Coast of California.

The Association of Sixxes Football have agreed to sponsor this event that will be held in Sacramento, CA.  Additional clinics for teams in the association are encouraged to participate and hold their own clinic or can participate in the Sacramento event. It is recommended that space be limited to 12-16 participants.  Each clinic with teach the fundamentals of flag football as players using the IWFFA 8 on 8 rules.  It will also teach how to officiate the game of play as well as how to coach and develop players. Sixxes rules will also be discussed as to how we can incorporate the fundamentals of what we have learned.  At the end of the day, a scrimmage will be held and a bbq afterward.

If you would like to learn more about the IWFFA promotional tour, email iwffa@iwffa.com or contact gm@redhawkssixxes.com.
